Her jewelry line gives women a sense of Class, Style, and an aura of Confidence.
Hollywood actress, Rose McGowan once wore her bracelet on the cover of PRESTIGE magazine; that is all you need to know.
We present gorgeous Annerose Muyombano, the creator of Muyombano jewelries.
This from when she took some time off to chat with us:
''I was born in Burundi, East Africa, but we moved to Germany when I was 6 years old.
''I grew up in the south of Germany close to a city famous for its jewelry production. I modeled for many jewelry designers and loved the way the diamonds made me feel. The region is also known for beautiful cars; Mercedes Benz (where I did a long internship) and Porsche, so I learned to appreciate the perfect German craftsmanship at an early age. On the other hand, I admire how African women adorn themselves to emphasize their individual beauty''.
''My goal is to combine both worlds - create perfectly crafted pieces in partly industrial material -but with an African touch. I want both worlds to see themselves in the pieces I create. Let me give you an example.
When I wear the PURE collection in Germany I am told, 'The pieces are very African' - bold, expressive, strong. Then when I wear the collection in Rwanda, people admire the impeccable manufacturing and minimalistic design. They say “Must be German”. I am very happy to get this kind of feedback.
More than perhaps any other accessory, jewelry is really much a statement of quality as anything else.....I say this because unlike other things, clothes, shoes, scarves, hats, etc., a favorite piece of jewelry might be as much a part of our physical presence as our nose and ears in many cases. In this way, jewelry becomes part of our journey as human beings, whereas the clothes we wear might be linked more to specific destinations: the dress we wear on our wedding day, the hat we bought for the trip to a specific city, for instance. This is the impact I would like Muyombano to have on our customers; to be part of their very being''.
''I want to create pieces that make my customers feel confident;- confident to be different, express themselves and embrace their uniqueness.
I want the jewelry to do the communication for my customers. I want people to see that the woman wearing a particular Muyombano ring, necklace etc. is no ordinary woman; that there must be something special about this person and her character- for choosing a particular piece. The jewelry creates curiosity and one thing will be clear to the observer; the woman wearing a Muyombano jewelry is anything but boring!
At the very beginning I was lucky to get in contact with LUMINAIRE - a pioneering force in the design world - and they included my first collection during their ART BASEL Miami presentation. For me this was a sign that I was on the right track in terms of design and product quality. Also showcasing and selling in Japan and New York or during Fashion Week in Berlin gave me the confidence that women out there positively respond to my designs. I mean even Rose McGowan (most people will know her from her role in the tv show 'Charmed'] wore the PURE bracelet on the cover of PRESTIGE Magazine. That was a major surprise''.
''I always admired strong and exceptional women and my creations are supposed to highlight their uniqueness in many different ways.
I wanted to give women limitless opportunities to be themselves.
Another step was to launch the collections designed by Monica Armani www.monica-armani.com and Tomoya Tabuchi www.officeforcreation.jp for MUYOMBANO Jewelry. I feel honored that these amazing artists agreed to work with me.
What I have learned is that my jewelry is not mainstream and not for the mass market but rather for artists, brave and confident women.
My work was supposed to have a deeper meaning. Creating jewelry wasn’t about doing something cute, it was about creating a platform to support others build a self-determined future.'
They can find us on all social media platforms. I am active on Instagram;'' Website is undergoing major reconstruction: muyombano.com
'This quote from her website sums it all up:
''Crafting jewelry was my medium for articulating the driving forces behind my daily endeavors: an unwavering commitment to the highest standards and quality, a celebration of beauty, and a resolute dedication to sustainability.
By combining minimalistic & contemporary design, ethnic shapes, colors and cultures while focusing on perfect craftsmanship and the best materials, I create a specific twist in my designs that lead to outstanding pieces.
My collection reflects my vision; to blend cultures, transcend boundaries and create timeless pieces that resonate with essence of elegance and purity.''
BronzePage was created to rebuff & refute the wrong narrative that Africa is nothing but safaris, wars & famine. How unfortunate. Africa is beautiful & Africans are very progressive, smart, creative & innovative. This is Africa like you have never seen before. Welcome to a Collection of Astonishment!!!
